The Washington Dance Studio family has been such a Godsend...
When Nick was going into 5th grade, he had tried several different athletic activities but nothing seemed to spark his interest. We talked to him about other options that were available; we asked him if he would like to try dance. He said he would! His first year at Washington Dance Studio he studied Tap and Jazz. We were so delighted at his first recital to see how he was performing. He loved it! After the first couple of years he had the desire to try out for a Dance Company. He has danced in the Junior Dance Company for the past two years, and it is such pleasure as a parent to see his confidence and abilities grow. He enjoys every aspect of dance, the physical activity and performing with all the dancers. He now has added Ballet and Lyrical to his studies of dance and will be a member of the Senior Dance Company. He enjoys learning everything that he can about dance, the history, positions, moves, rhythm, and songs. The Washington Dance studio family has been such a Godsend for Nick and his development as a dancer and as a person.

As dancers, there is no place my girls would rather be...
I am not a soccer mom; I am a dance mom! Both of my daughters, Madison, age 15 and Camille, age 12, are avid dancers and call Washington Dance Studio a home-away-from-home. There isn't anything that we don't love about WDS! Sharron and Jennie have created a positive, supportive, professional atmosphere of self-expression and performance. Both of my girls are living out their dance dreams and are a part of the two dance teams, and we could not be happier with their experience. As dancers, there is no place my girls would rather be, and as a dance-mom, there is no place I'd rather have them. WDS is helping my husband and I raise strong, confident, beautiful young ladies.

If you are looking for the perfect place to begin your child’s dance education, Washington Dance Studio is the place. Our WDS experience began sixteen years ago when our oldest daughter, now 19, started her first class. Her little sister, now 16, followed in her footsteps. Through dance, our daughters have learned to be poised, confident, and graceful young women. WDS teachers develop special connections with their students and inspire young dancers to excel not only in dance, but in life. We feel blessed that our daughters have been part of the Washington Dance Studio family.

Sharron and Jennie are terrific role models for my daughters...
My two daughters have had the opportunity to participate at Washington Dance Studio for the past four years. It has been a wonderful experience for both of them. I've known Jennie for over 30 years now since we attended grade school together, and I can honestly tell you that Sharron and Jennie are, without a doubt, two of the kindest and most enthusiastic people I know. They are patient and energetic and terrific role models for my daughters. Their infectious smiles never stop. Dance has provided my girls a great way to exercise and improve poise and confidence. The quality of dance instruction at Washington Dance Studio is first rate. All of their teachers and staff have been fantastic. I am so blessed that my daughters are able to experience dance at WDS.

The professional staff and management of Washington Dance Studio provide a positive, nurturing and motivating learning environment with a family atmosphere for young dancers to develop talents and self-confidence, find their passion, grow individually, and follow their dreams of dancing.
Not only does this studio teach the art of dance, the talented, experienced and knowledgeable staff provide dance education and exposure to many genres of the art through multiple classes offered during the school year and summer seminars.
Both dance companies are well prepared as they perform at annual competition and consistently receive an invitation to attend national competitions.
The annual holiday performance and spring recital draw family members and friends who travel hundreds of miles to see the annual extravaganza! By the end of the dance year my daughter is bursting with excitement and confidence to perform for recital, and as the curtain closes after the finale, this excitement turns to tears of joy and sadness that another year has come to an end. But hats off to her dance teachers and fellow dancers for another amazing year of dance! Classes for the dance companies start in the heat of the summer, and she is overjoyed to dance with her teammates again.
My daughter has danced at Washington Dance Studio for the past six years, and this is where she discovered her love for dance. It has been one of the most empowering opportunities she has experienced.
